World reacts as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce take a break

2024 and the start of 2025 were a whirlwind for America’s power couple, global pop sensation Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. Swift wrapped up her Era’s Tour, and Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs went to their third straight Super Bowl.
While the Era’s tour ended with a bang, Kelce and the Eagles didn’t have such a storybook ending to their season.

The Chiefs would’ve made history with a Super Bowl win over the Philadelphia Eagles, becoming the first team to ever win three Super Bowls in a row. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, the Eagles won the game 40-22 in a contest that never felt particularly close.

The loss wasn’t the only thing that the couple had to endure during the Super Bowl. Swift attended the game, and the Eagles fans who were also in the stadium loudly booed her when she was shown on the jumbotron.

With such a sour taste in their mouths, the pair appear to have decided that it’s in their best interests to take a break, according to PEOPLE

It’s probably best for their personal health that the two are taking a moment to remove themselves from the limelight. Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Give them time and space, no pressure. Just let them figure things out,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“They’re done. I’m calling it,” added someone else.

“I know that Travis Kelce loves all the attention and camera. So I don’t know or think that he can or even wants to have any relationship with anyone that doesn’t give it to him. So for Travis he isn’t a person who can just stay home away from cameras and attention with just Taylor Swift. He is always going to be doing anything for attention of camera.” added another person.

It’ll be interesting to see if and when the pair decide to return to the spotlight.
