Tana Mongeau and Alissa Violet Have Sparked a Feud on TikTok: Here’s What to Know
The feud between Tana Mongeau and Alissa Violet began on July 7 after Tana posted a TikTok shading Jason Nash
The ongoing feud between Cancelled podcast host Tana Mongeau and influencer Alissa Violet has captured the attention of fans and other influencers alike.
The drama between the content creators ramped up in July after Tana posted a TikTok video in which she shaded Jason Nash, a former member of David Dobrik’s “vlog squad,” for using TikTok live to make money off of fans. Alissa responded in the comments, defending Josh before making now-deleted TikTok videos in response to Tana’s comments and calling out her OnlyFans account. Fans pushed back against Alissa’s comments and called her out for defending Jason, noting his own controversial past.
Amid the backlash, Tana spoke about Alissa’s comments on an episode of the Cancelled podcast, calling her one of “the meanest girls in L.A.,” which prompted Alissa to speak out in a YouTube video.
Here’s everything to know about the ongoing drama between Tana and Alissa.
Who is Alissa Violet?
Alissa Violet is an influencer who got her start on YouTube back in 2015. She was also a part of the content house Team 10 with Jake Paul, whom she dated between 2015 and 2017. Tensions arose between the couple after Jake accused her of cheating on him with his brother Logan Paul and she eventually moved out of the Team 10 house.
In the 2018 docuseries The Mind of Jake Paul, which delved into Jake’s controversial history and assault allegations, Alissa said “Jake lied and said that I cheated, but we were never together,” noting that things were never official between them.
After breaking up with Jake, Alissa went on to date YouTuber FaZe Banks from 2017 to 2019. Alissa took a break from content creation in 2023 and returned online in May 2024, noting that she initially left because “my life was on all these apps instead of actually living my life for me.”
The drama ramped up with Tana after the Cancelled co-host posted a video on TikTok that shaded Jason Nash, and Alissa responded by saying she shouldn’t “bully” him online.
In a since-deleted video, she seemingly shaded Tana’s OnlyFans account, which immediately prompted backlash online. She then deleted the video and said she “will not put her time and energy [into the drama] anymore.”
Who is Tana Mongeau?
Tana Mongeau is also a creator who got her start posting videos on YouTube in 2015.
Tana began dating Jake in April 2019, two years after he and Alissa broke up. The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas that June, which was live-streamed. Jake and Tana later called it quits in January 2020, six months after their wedding.

Tana launched her Cancelled podcast with co-host Brooke Schofield in 2021, where they talk about their personal lives and other pop culture happenings.
Tana addressed Alissa’s comments on July 16 and alleged that Alissa asked her for help with her OnlyFans account. “Maybe she should get into diss tracks,” Tana’s co-host Brooke said in reference to Alissa’s diss track about Jake. Tana concluded the topic on the podcast, calling Alissa “one of the meanest girls in L.A.”
What has Alissa Violet said about Tana Mongeau’s ‘mean girl’ comment?
In a YouTube video shared on Aug. 18, Alissa addressed Tana’s comments on the Cancelled podcast. In the caption of the video, Alissa wrote that she’s “normally the queen of responses but I didn’t care enough to shed more light onto this.”
In the video, Alissa said that her comments about Tana making money on OnlyFans were ” misconstrued as shady,” which was not her intention. “Tana, I didn’t realize that you had such a problem with me,” she said. “We’ve always been cordial, and I’ve never said anything bad about you to this day.”
Alissa also addressed the “mean girl” allegations and said, “I have historically been a b—-, and that was on purpose.” She continued, “I wanted to be so unapproachable and scary that nobody would ever f—- me over again.” After her video was shared, her ex FaZe posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying he was “proud” of her response to the “‘mean girl’ narrative.”
“I saw first hand exactly what Liss described life to be like in LA during this time,” he explained. “She makes valid points… I’m not proud of any of it, Alissa & I are and have been in a great place for years. She’s definitely not perfect, none of us are, but she takes accountability for that here.”
