Over the last few months, fans have speculated about her health.

Kate Beckinsale shared details of her recent hospitalization. -She has shared cryptic photos of her health scare since March, but hasn’t gone into much detail about it, until now.

-“I was in the hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my oesophagus [sic],” she wrote.

On July 9, the 50-year-old shared an Instagram video in response to comments that called her behavior childish. Still, the negativity poured in, and many followers pointed out that she appeared to have lost weight. One suggested that she “go do some squats,” per people, and Beckinsale wasn’t having that.

She continued: “I found eating very hard and I just worked very very hard on a movie that was actually quite triggering because it also involved the theme of the death of my father. So I’m not really concerned about what you think about my ass.”
