Brenda Song Says She and Macaulay Culkin Have ‘Talked About Eloping’ but ‘My Mom Would Have a Heart Attack
The pair have been together since 2017, got engaged in early 2022 and share two kids — but say they are in no rush to marry
Brenda Song and Macaulay culkin have considered forgoing a big wedding and eloping — but they are worried about how a certain family member would take the news.
The couple, who first began dating in 2017, opened up about why they have yet to tie the knot since getting engaged three years ago in a new interview with Cosmopolitan for the magazine’s Love Issue, published on Monday, Jan. 27. Song, 36, revealed that she and the Home Alone star have “talked about eloping.”
Only, there’s one major hitch. “I was like, ‘If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there,’ ” the actress explained.
Shaking his head at the mere idea of upsetting his future mother-in-law, Culkin, 44, exclaimed, “I wouldn’t even!”
When it comes to making their relationship official with a wedding, it seems the two aren’t feeling much pressure. “Do you not want to marry me?” Culkin asked Song during the Cosmo interview, prompting her to giggle.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Culkin said, “I got your back no matter what. I’ll do whatever you say you want to do,” adding, “I’m in this to the end, to the very end.”
